Freebie: Theatreland

savoy theatreI’m not one to turn down a good freebie. Last Saturday four of our guided tour organisations did their annual showcase of London walks. For free. This year the theme was Entertainment. We chose to go on a tour highlighting some of the historical theatres and cinemas of the West End, run by Westminster Guides. Our guide was Debbie, who did an excellent job. What I particularly enjoyed was being taken down some alleys, hitherto unfamiliar to me, so now I know some new shortcuts. We were honoured to be invited to share refreshments afterwards with this friendly, knowledgeable and very professional group at the Lyceum pub in the Strand. When I go on a guided walk, I prefer to enjoy the experience, hence I take very few notes, if any. And fewer photos than I should. But here are a couple.
